Bear Valley Resort is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada, offering unparalleled access to all-season recreation and relaxation. The resort offers a vast alpine basin with 1,900 vertical feet over 1680 acres, making it a fully-functional ski and snowboard resort with access to shuttle-served side country surrounding the Village.
In the winter, visitors can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling, while summer offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and more.
Bear Valley Resort is a paradise for families and lovers of nature and the outdoors who seek to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the warmth of a small-town community. They partnered with War Room in 2018.

The Challenge
Hibernate or Accelerate?
When it came to the campaigns for Bear Valley, we needed to be proactive and flexible in catering to different audience segments as the offerings changed throughout the seasons. In the winter, the resort was popular among skiers and snowboarders, while in the summer, it attracted hikers, mountain bikers, and water sports enthusiasts.
We would develop different ad strategies for each season and allocate the budget toward the better-performing channels.
A challenge we faced in 2021 was an unexpected crash of the client’s eCommerce store, which resulted in the loss of valuable data tracking for a few weeks. We notified the client immediately and worked with their web developer team to get it sorted out promptly.
Despite these challenges, we were determined to deliver successful outcomes for Bear Valley. We worked diligently to adapt our strategies and recommendations to cater to the unique demands of each season, ensuring maximum ROI on the allocated budget.
